Description: The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is pleased to announce funding for projects that will implement priorities of the Hudson River Estuary Action Agenda - to provide benefits of a vital estuary ecosystem: clean water; resilient communities; the sustainability of Estuary fish, wildlife, and habitats; conservation of natural scenery; and enhanced access, river education, and recreational opportunities. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) anticipates approximately $900,000 in available funding for Local Stewardship Planning projects for plans, feasibility studies, assessments, inventories, design and permitting, and the development of regionally-applicable guidance documents or handbooks to help communities improve infrastructure and protect water resources and habitat. Funding for this grant opportunity is provided by the NYS Environmental Protection Fund. Projects must implement objectives of the Hudson River Estuary Action Agenda. Grants will range between a minimum award amount of $10,500, up to a maximum amount of $75,000. Applications must be submitted in the NYS Grants Gateway by the following due date: 3:00 P.M.
