Description: The work shall consist of Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Pavements, Utility Improvements, Turf Restoration, and Site Amenity Improvements at the following NFTA Project Sites: DL&W Parking, and Seneca City Line Loop.
1. Roadway, Parking Lot, and Sidewalk Improvements: concrete sidewalk/pavement full depth removal and replacement, asphalt mill and overlay, asphalt nonstructural overlay, asphalt crack seal, concrete curb
The Contract Documents may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203 or on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website at www.nftaengineering.com. Online registration is required to become a Document Holder and obtain Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents are available at no cost and may be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. Requests may be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period. Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the Work with its own forces. The time of completion for the project is 60 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,600 per calendar day will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified. The MWBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises) and SDVOB (Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business) Goals are as follows: MBE 10%, WBE 12% and SDVOB 3%.
