Renovate Plant Science Building – Phase 1
Description:

The work of this single bid project includes the comprehensive renovation of the Plant Science building to provide state-of-the-art laboratories and support spaces for the School of Integrated Plant Science (SIPS). The scope of work will demolish interior walls and finishes, as well as abate hazardous material for the West and Central wings of the building also including new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, replace exterior windows, perform selected repairs to the exterior façade, and restore significant architectural elements such as the grand central staircase. In addition, a new rooftop penthouse will be constructed to house new mechanical equipment.

Plans will be available after January 12, 2023 through Dataflow, Inc. (518-463-2192 or www.godataflow.com ).

A project walk-through has been scheduled for January 26, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., meeting at Cornell - Plant Science Building, Room GL22.

All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs. Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 9/13 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule.
