The New York State Department (Department) of Environmental

Conservation (DEC) requires the services of a Contractor to ensure that

employees who are involved in hazardous waste operations and emergency

response activities are fit tested on multiple types of respirators.

In accordance with OSHA’s Respirator Protection Standard 29 CFR 1910.134 and NYS Department of Labor regulations, the Contractor will provide fit testing for approximately 235 Department employees to ensure that their respirator properly fits them. 235 is an estimate based on 2022 fit testing data. Furthermore, the Contractor will fit test each respirator user with the Department's standard respirator(s). The cost should be estimated per person based on a successful fit test and would include all travel associated with the work.

Proposers shall adhere to the NYS DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION GUIDELINES REGARDING PERMISSIBLE CONTACTS DURING A PROCUREMENT AND THE PROHIBITION OF INAPPROPRIATE LOBBYING INFLUENCE.
