Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: The MTA has developed and implemented a Small Business Development Program (SBDP). The mission of the SBDP is to provide small businesses in the construction trades that apply and are accepted for enrollment in the SBDP, with the opportunity to acquire knowledge about and experience with MTA construction projects to enable them, in the future, to successfully compete for MTA public work contracts that are independent of the SBDP. This, in turn, will widen the prospective pool of construction trade firms competing for MTA projects. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) hereby solicits a technical and cost proposal for services in connection with the Small Business Development Programs (SBDP). The MTA is seeking to contract with firm(s) that will apply its construction management & oversight experience to provide guidance to small contractors in performance of the MTA’s construction projects. This firm will be an independent consultant to the MTA performing these services under the title of Construction Management and Oversight Services Consultant (CM) and a Business Development Consultant (BD) for the SBDP.
