The Town of Washington is seeking to retain an engineering firm to assist in preparing an application for funding under the Bridge NY Program. The Town is in the process of evaluating a culvert, located on Oak Summit Road near the intersection with Dutchess County Route 90, which may be a strong candidate for the development of funding application.

As part of the application process, consultant work may include determining existing conditions, assessing feasible alternatives, identifying potential right of way and utility needs, listing permit requirements, quantifying construction costs, and preparing a project implementation schedule.

If the Oak Summit Road structure application is awarded funding, the Town may retain the selected consultant to perform the following services: preliminary and final design, right-of-way incidentals and acquisition, construction support and inspection. A DBE goal of 20% would apply for this future work.
