SUNY Cortland is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide residence hall internet access (ResNet) and related help desk services to on-campus residential students.

The results of this RFP will be used to award a 5-year contract to the Bidder determined to be most qualified.

It is the intent of SUNY Cortland to enter into a contract for Residence Hall Internet (ResNet) services including hardwired and wireless connectivity. SUNY Cortland is welcoming bids to provide Internet access services to on-campus residential students. The vendor will be responsible for securing the network, to include prevention of physical and logical access from outside agencies, preventing infected machines from infecting others and protecting the configurations of networking equipment from outside hacking. All aspects of the Internet service including ongoing upgrades, implementation, management, help desk support and trouble ticket resolution related to registration, access or use of ResNet Internet services must be provided directly to the students of SUNY Cortland. It is expected that the service will be revised and/or upgraded to accommodate technological changes and future requirements of the University. Vendor must provide sufficient bandwidth over the life of the contract to meet acceptable service levels and system requirements.

The successful vendor shall be required to provide the following services listed below observing all applicable federal, state, and local laws relating to labor and employment.

• Vendor to provide a proposal for Internet services - hardwired and wireless connectivity.
• Vendor to provide all technical service support on campus such as network maintenance, individual service calls and network upgrades.
• Vendor to maintain the overall Internet connections to each University Residence Hall.
• Vendor to maintain broken data jacks and faceplates.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting & site visit is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 9:00 AM (EST). The pre-bid site visit will be held at: SUNY Cortland, Student Life Center, Room # 1104, 8 Pashley Drive, Cortland, NY 13045.

A mandatory pre-registration is required for the mandatory pre-bid meeting & site visit. Bidders must pre-register for the event by sending an email to the primary contact no later than Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 3:00 PM (EST).
