Sealed Bids for the construction of the Little Valley Water System Improvements Project Contract 1A will be received by Village of Little Valley, at the Village Hall, 103 Rock City Street, Little Valley, New York 14755, until 11:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, April 13, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Bids will be received for Contract No. 1A – General Construction (inclusive of Base, Additive, and Alternate Bid items). Work under the Base Bid generally consists of approximately 20,000 feet of 6-inch and 8-inch water main replacement. Work under Additive Bid No. 1 generally consists of approximately 5,250 feet of 6-inch and 8-inch water main replacement. Work under Additive Bid No. 2 generally consists of approximately 1,500 feet of 6-inch water main replacement. Work under Additive Bid No. 3 generally consists of approximately 3,750 feet of 8-inch water main replacement. Alternate Bid No. 1 provides unit pricing for substituting PVC water main (Base Bid) with Ductile Iron water main.

Bidding Documents may be obtained in portable document format (PDF) by emailing the Issuing Office at nwilliard@bartonandloguidice.com . The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b.

Purchases made by the Village of Little Valley are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials. Exemption certificates will be executed upon request.
