The Town of Rochester Town Board, hereinafter referred to as “the Town”, is
requesting written proposals from Architectural and/or Engineering firms to provide
professional services associated with the design, preparation of bid documents,
bidding and construction contract administration for the Town of Rochester records
storage project located at the Harold Lipton Community Center, 15 Tobacco Road,
Accord, NY. The selected firm will provide the professional services described herein
in support of the Town and will work directly with the Town Supervisor and Town
Clerk.
All work will be contracted within the terms, conditions, scope of work and other
applicable requirements set forth in subsequent work orders related to this
document. Procurement shall only be conducted with responsible vendors who have
the technical and financial competence to perform as well as an exemplary record of
integrity.
In accordance with New York State General Municipal Law Section 104-b, this
Request for Proposals (RFP) is designed to identify New York State licensed
professional architectural and engineering (A/E) firms best qualified to provide the
services necessary to provide engineering and design specifications for the
construction of a Records Storage Building.
The estimated size of the building to be approximately 3000 square feet. The
building will require electric and climate control, however, will not be a place of
human assembly or congregation. The exact location on the property are to be
determined in consultation with the engineering and design vendor selected. The
Town retains the option of connecting the records storage building to the existing
community center.
The engineering and design specifications for the new Records Storage building
will include, but not limited to:
• Architectural Design.
• Building and building roof structural engineering and design specifications.
• Floor and foundations engineering and design specifications.
• Electrical engineering and design specifications.
• Limited site plan depicting building access, adjacent building locations
• Project manual including technical specifications and contract front end.
• Bidding Assistance.
• Construction Contract Administration
