The selected consultant will perform Routine Tunnel Inspections of the Queens-Midtown Tunnel and Hugh L. Carey Tunnel in order to establish and update the condition assessments, the physical and functional condition of the tunnels systems and components, update the tunnels databases, and prepare the required reports for each tunnel in accordance to the requirements set forth by TBTA, NYSDOT and FHWA. The Routine Tunnel Inspection shall include thorough field investigations, measurements, inspections, examination, recording and coding of data tunnel elements evaluations as well as recommendations for all systems including, but not limited to; structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, lighting, fire, life safety, security, signs, and protective system components of the tunnels. The Consulting Engineering firm must be authorized in accordance with the NYS Education Law to practice Engineering in the State of New York. Consultants shall be pre-qualified to conduct tunnel inspection work for the State of New York, Department of Transportation and meet the requirements of the National Tunnel Inspection Standards (NTIS).

. Submittals must be no more than thirty-five (35) pages of text in length printed double-sided (the C-21 and RFQ-4 forms will not be included in the 35 page total.)
