Nassau OTB is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) seeking sealed proposals from qualified individuals and entities authorized to do business in New York State (“Proposer”) for the permitting, installation, operation, maintenance, and management of self-service electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) at the Race Palace. Proposer must demonstrate a level of expertise, technical knowledge, innovation, and overall capacity to provide and manage self-service electric vehicle charging station services. Nassau OTB will suggest certain parking spaces at the Race Palace that will be available for the Proposer to install the electric vehicle charging stations, but the successful Proposer should be experienced at managing public charging stations and capable of suggesting additional locations based on their own data and experience.

As Nassau OTB is in the business of providing superior off-track betting services to its customers, and not in the business of designing, installing, or providing electronic service charging stations. It intends to rely heavily upon the Proposer’s specialized expertise, knowledge, and thoughtful proposals to provide this service to our customers. In that regard, Nassau OTB is open to considering different ownership models which Proposer may suggest given the Race Palace’s location, patrons, and available space, which may include traditional ownership by Nassau OTB or Proposer, turnkey operations, hybrid proposals, or any other ownership model that Proposer may recommend. Additionally, as the pricing and revenue models will necessarily vary (depending in part on the ownership model), Nassau OTB is open to considering various EVCS pricing/revenue models which provide the best value to Nassau OTB. For all of the various ownership and revenue models proposed, please make sure that the benefits of each option to Nassau OTB are clearly outlined in detail in the proposal.
