The purpose of this RFP is to provide the Buffalo Public Schools with interactive virtual mathematics manipulatives for teacher and student use. Accordingly, the Buffalo Board of Education requests that vendors submit product proposals for review and evaluation. This instructional resource must: 1) model the concepts the manipulative is being used to support; 2) support the Next Generation Learning Standards for Mathematics; 3) be user friendly for students in Grades K-6, 4) include on demand resources to support its use, and 5) include additional resources such as tasks and/or activities to practice manipulative use and develop an understanding of identified concepts. Lastly, this resource will be used by all students, teachers, staff, and families of Buffalo Public Schools to support core mathematics instruction, as well as intervention and enrichment, thus must provide suggestions for intervention and enrichment, where appropriate.
