NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids for General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction and Plumbing Construction at the Aquatics Facility of Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park, 679 Riverside Drive, New York, New York will be received by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), NYC District at 163 West 125 th Street, 17 th Floor, New York, New York 10027 until 1 PM local time, December 9 th , 2022, when they will be publicly opened and read. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of:

Rehabilitation and replacement of interior finishes, accessories and fixtures within the Aquatics locker rooms and staff areas.

A general description of the primary work elements is listed below for reference. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all the drawings and specifications to obtain a complete understanding of the entire work scope. This contract includes all work indicated on the project documents, including but not limited to:

1. Mobilization and establishment of site perimeter fencing and maintenance and protection of existing conditions.

2. General demolition and removals of partitions, finishes, accessories, and fixtures within the aquatics locker rooms, showers, and restrooms and staff areas.

3. General demolition and removals of damaged exterior tiles at West Stair Tower.

4. Provide and install temporary restroom trailers and necessary electrical and plumbing accessories during construction.

5. Provide and install temporary rinse showers on pool deck and necessary plumbing accessories during construction.

6. Provide and install temporary changing tents and staff tents during construction.

7. Reconfiguration of the aquatics locker rooms and restrooms to include new gender-neutral locker room, new multipurpose room, and reconfigured staff area.

8. Rehabilitation of the existing lobby, locker rooms, and staff areas to include new accessories, fixtures, finishes, wall partitions and equipment.

9. Provide and install new finishes and fixtures within the limits of architectural scope of work.

10. Provide and install new light fixtures, public address system, smoke detectors, power & data within the limits of electrical scope of work.

11. Provide and install new sprinklers within the limits of plumbing and fire protection scope of work.

12. Provide and install new HVAC diffusers and ductwork within the limits of mechanical scope of work.

13. Provide and install new windows in the lobby and install exterior tile patch around window.

14. Provide and install exterior patch at West Stair Tower within the limits of architectural and structural scope of work.

15. Provide all necessary permits.

16. Closeout documents including warranties.

PUBLIC BUILDING LAW § 8(6)

Pursuant to Public Building Law § 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,473,245 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2022). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder.

PROJECT COMPLETION

The completion date for this project is 270 calendar days after agreement has been approved by the NYS Comptroller’s Office.
