The Binghamton University Libraries wish to renew the Web of Science citation database.

The Web of Science citation database is web-based, and is comprised of the data contained in the ISl's three proprietary citation indexes:

• Social Science Citation Index
• Science Citation Index
• Arts and Humanities Citation Index

Faculty, upper level graduate students, and other researchers use citation indexes intensively. Because the university's mission includes an emphasis on the development and enhancement of research, acquisition of Web of Science has been highly recommended by the Academic Affairs division as a resource we wish to retain. It's multidiciniplanry scope makes it useful across the spectrum of academic programs. The number or searches performed in the Web of Science Database continues to increase. This demonstrates that the purchase is worthwhile acquisition that has greatly been used as an established resource.
