GENERAL a) This specification describes the minimum material and quality requirements for construction of one or more courses of HMA pavement at UNSPECIFIED locations in accordance with the contract documents or as directed by the Owner. b) Work shall be in accordance with the NYSDOT Section 402 and the Owner’s directives. c) Pavement construction includes but is not limited to tack coat, asphalt materials, water and transport, equipment for placement, compaction, all necessary labor, maintenance and protection of traffic including temporary pavement markings.

MATERIALS: a) Materials for Vendor placed pavement provided under this contract shall be produced in an NYSDOT approved HMA production facility under NYSDOT Section 401 - Plant Production, in operation at the location indicated by bidder herein for the (12) twelve month period preceding the bid opening date. b) Bidder must provide with the Bids, plant locations and/or the NYSDOT Facility number from which material will be supplied.
