Description: As part of the 2023-2024 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), the Syracuse Metropolitan Transportation Council (SMTC) has agreed to complete the Route 57 Complete Streets Study on behalf of Onondaga County. Onondaga County is seeking to evaluate and potentially improve upon the overall transportation network and connections of Route 57 between John Glenn Boulevard and New York State Route 31 in the Town of Clay. This planning level study seeks to increase the safety for all users of the transportation system through feasible Complete Streets treatments. For this project, the SMTC is seeking an experienced consultant, or team of consultants, to complete, at minimum, an evaluation of existing conditions; identification of issues; development of recommendations; prioritization of Complete Streets treatments; development of an implementation plan, to include recommendations, cost estimates, potential future funding sources, and project timing (near/mid/long term); and documentation of all these items as outlined in the Request for Proposals.
