Street Resurfacing Program

General Notice

City of Amsterdam (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Street Resurfacing Program

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City Clerk’s Office located at City Hall, 61 Church St Amsterdam NY 12010, until April 26 th ,2024 at 11:00 AM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work:

Resurfacing streets via milling or overlaying existing asphalt with a trueing and leveling course with a binder course and/or a top course of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) meeting NYSDOT Specification 403, as provided in the May 1, 2008 edition. Rebuilding and/or resetting manhole and catch basin frames and grates/covers. Removal and replacement of sidewalks at intersections to meet the current ADA standards.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

City of Amsterdam - City Clerk Office

61 Church St, Amsterdam NY 12010

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. If shipping is requested, the Contractor to provide the City with FedEx or UPS account information. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, electronic documents on USB flash drive will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats:
