This Invitation for Bid is for a Contractor to evaluate the condition, diagnose a “fault” and make necessary repairs to existing manually operated air circuit breakers. The LIRR requires the services of a Contractor with experience in the diagnosis and repair of manually air operated circuit breakers to identify the repairs necessary, create a repair plan (Work Plan), and provide the necessary materials/equipment to identify the fault as well as perform the necessary repair work. Contractor is responsible for picking up breakers at the LIRR Bethpage facility and repairing at the Contractor’s facility. Once repairs are complete and breakers are back to 100% working condition, breakers shall be delivered back to the Bethpage facility.

All work shall be performed in accordance with a Work Plan as specified by the Contractor. The Work Plan shall be submitted to LIRR for approval no later than four (4) weeks after Notice of Award (NOA). Contractor shall have all repairs complete within twelve (12) weeks of Notice of Award (NOA). THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE THAT THEY EMPLOY SUFFICIENT MANPOWER, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL TO COMPLETE THE WORK WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIMEFRAME. IN ADDITION, CONTRACTOR MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR OF MANUALLY OPERATED CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND A MINIMUM OF THREE (3) SUCESSFULLY COMPLETED CONTRACTS OF SIMILAR SCOPE. DOCUMENTATION DEMONSTRATING CONTRACTOR'S EXPERIENCE SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO LIRR WITH THEIR BID SUBMISSION.
