Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) is a rapidly growing technique in the field of Radiation Medicine which uses optical surface scanning technology to track patients’ surface in 3D, for both setup and motion management during radiotherapy. SGRT can be used for many types of radiation therapy. There are numerous publications that support its use in the treatment of breast, brain, head and neck cancer, sarcoma, and other conditions.

The vision for the next 2-4 years in the Department of Radiation Medicine is to avail our patients of advancements in radiation oncology treatment technology that will aid in continuing to improve patient outcomes and patients’ quality of life after cancer treatment. Advancements in the field of radiation oncology now offer enhanced motion management techniques using Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT). This technology will help to achieve the department goals and vision.

Legal Appendices (A, A-1, Business Associate Agreement and Appendix C) have been attached to Files Section of this RFP. These files are considered Roswell Park Required documents and will need to be incorporated into executed agreement (when/if awarded).
