The Village of Waterloo was recently awarded a 2022 NYS EFC Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) Grant to address issues of Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) of the Village and Town within the collection system and upgrades to equipment. The project will make improvements to the WWTP and also address issues of inflow and infiltration within the collection system to reduce “clean” water being treated at the plant. This comprehensive project will allow the Village and Town of Waterloo to discharge less flow to the WWTP and also make upgrades to the plant which will improve water quality.
