Water Treatment Plant Replacement
Description:

All Contracts: Construction and commissioning of a new Water Treatment Plant adjacent to the existing active plant at Captree State Park per contract drawings and specifications. Existing plant and Well #2 must remain operational until new plant is operational and approved. Work includes coordination between all contracts, daily cleaning, submittals, as-builts and closeout.

General Construction (G) Contract - D006147: Work includes but not limited to concrete foundation and floor slab, masonry block walls, concrete water storage tanks, stairs, roof and all interior and exterior finishes & incidentals including doors, windows louvers fans, grating, trench drains, selective demolition and site work. Work also includes providing temporary utilities, utility mark-out, construction fencing, erosion control, sheeting and bracing excavation, final cleaning, restoration, assist with P and E Contract on programming controls, start-up and testing of all equipment. Alternate 1 work includes demolition of existing plant, tanks, drainage structures, rough and final site grading, plantings, and new asphalt driveway. Estimated Range: $1,263,168.00 - $1,708,992.00

Plumbing (P) Contract - D006148: Work includes but not limited to selective demolition, water mains, hydrants, valves, appurtenances, radiant floor heating, piping, fittings, sleeves, painting of piping, emergency eyewash and shower, hot water heater, iron treatment, booster pump with hydropneumatics tank, sodium hypochlorite pump, caustic pump and systems. Work also includes propane tank, disinfection and water quality testing of all water piping and treatment systems, well repairs, and assist with G and E Contract on programming controls, start-up and testing of all equipment. Estimated Range: $1,369,528.00 - $1,852,891.00

Electric (E) Contract: - D006149: Work includes but not limited to temporary power and lighting, selective demolition, wire. Estimated Range: $669,468.00 - $905,751.00

There will be a pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Maintenance Facility located by the Boat Ramp at 3500 E. Ocean Parkway, Bayshore, NY 11706.

All Requests For Information (RFIs) are due by: 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2024

RFIs received after this due date and time will not be processed.

PUBLIC BUILDING LAW § 8(6)

Pursuant to Public Building Law § 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,579,361 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2023). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder.
