Total-Lift Bed Rentals
Description:

Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH) is seeking to contract with Arjo to provide Vital Go Systems Ltd. Total-Lift Bed Rentals in the Suffolk County area of Long Island, NY.

Prolonged bed rest and immobility of critically ill patients can lead to severe physical deconditioning, significant Joss of muscle mass and increased muscle weakness that can result in extended time spent in both the ICU and the hospital. These beds were requested by clinical staff because of the functionality that other bed providers do not have.

These beds offer the following:

Early Mobility

Without leaving the bed, patients who need a graded transition from bed rest to supporting their full body weight, can be progressively moved to the standing position.

Foot Lifter Footboard:

When the tilt function is activated, the patented Foot Lifter moves towards the patient's feet. When contact is made the bed begins gently tilting to the desired angle or weight bearing ratio while maintaining the patient in position to help avoid the need for repositioning. The Foot Lifter will automatically adjust to become flush with the floor for patient egress from the bed if appropriate.

Mandatory Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have beds in stock readily available for rental.

Total-Lift Bed Patent Numbers:

  • S Patent No.- 8104123B2
  • S Patent No.- 8117695B2
  • S Patent No.- 8566984B2

Other Requirements:

  • Credentialing - Hospital’s Vendor Credentialing System: Contractor acknowledges that Hospital utilizes a healthcare vendor credentialing services system to ensure that Contractor’s representatives entering Hospital premises or providing services impacting patient care have reviewed Hospital policies, have the appropriate training and/or certification and have the proper immunization required to access patient care areas. Contractor acknowledges that the services provided under this Agreement require registration of Hospital’s credentialing system. Contractor shall be required, at its sole cost and expense, to register with Hospital’s current credentialing system and ensure its representatives provide all required information.
