DESCRIPTION: a) Materials are heated, hauled and applied only, meaning the products are applied on the road surface by a distributor, or applied through a pug mill and applied through a mix paver. b) Asphalt content and type of materials used shall be by mutual agreement between Supplier and Owner and is solely for the purpose of quality control and in no way releases the supplier from his responsibilities. RFB-2465 Liquid Bituminous Page 17 of 42 11/29/2022 c) If requested by the Owner, the contractor shall provide rental equipment and labor at rates submitted in response to this bid document. d) Equivalents: i) Where, in the bid documents, one certain kind, type, brand, technology or product manufacturer is named, it shall be regarded as the required standard of quality. It is not meant to exclude competition in any way. ii) Similar equipment, products, or service, which are equal in quality, performance, compatibility and equally adaptable for the intended purposes, as determined by the Owner, and are submitted as specified in the bid documents, will be considered and may be accepted. The decision of the Owner as to equivalence will be final.
