The NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) requests six (6) Can-Am Defender Max (or Equal) Utility Task Vehicles (UTV)s for use by the NYS OPRHP Park Police. The UTVs will be utilized by Park Police statewide and are required for operation in areas and over terrain that is difficult to access by motor vehicle. UTV’s will allow access to areas traditionally not accessible to motor vehicles, such as beaches, grassy areas and along sidewalks. UTVs will also be utilized for emergency response in severe weather.

For this procurement, OPRHP requests that Good Faith Efforts are taken to include MWBE vendors where there is subcontracting availability. These efforts should be documented as, if asked, you must be able to produce a record of the actions taken to include MWBE vendors.
