SUNY Cortland intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law §355(5) (a), which is up to $125,000, for the software product above. Meltwater is a comprehensive media monitoring and news publishing and distribution service software. It allows us to deeply analyze news coverage and social media mentions of SUNY Cortland across a broad spectrum of sources and in a wide variety of ways. It offers a robust database of media outlets and journalists that lets us target our news releases in a way that has dramatically increased effectiveness. It allows us to manage multiple social media accounts by providing a common calendar for scheduling posts and provides tools for in-depth review and analysis of our social media efforts.
