LRRT - Under Platform Conduit Replacement
Description:

Replace existing conduit to include, but not be limited to: Remove all conduit on the Platform Level which have severely deteriorated. These conduits will be replaced with new fiberglass conduits to prevent future deterioration. New cabling will also be provided to replace the existing cabling. A stainless steel chase shall be provided alongside the elevators on each side of the station. Stainless steel pull boxes would be located at the ceiling slab for transition to the horizontal section which will cross above the tracks. A sheet metal screen will be routed below the conduits to obscure the view of them.

The Contract Documents may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203 or on the NFTA’s Engineering/Contracting website at www.nftaengineering.com. Online registration is required to become a registered user and obtain Contract Documents. One copy of the Contract Documents are available for at no cost and may be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering/Contracting website. Requests may be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up or sent via courier billed to the requester.

Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Bids received after the date and time specified above for bid opening shall not be opened and/or considered for award. The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period. Bid security must accompany each bid and, if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00, must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering/Contracting website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 55% of the Work with its own forces. The time of completion for the project is 109 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Refer to liquidated damages under Section 011100, Summary of Work.
