Description: The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) invites interested Consultants to submit a technical proposal that have the requisite, demonstrable competence, and experience in architectural, community engagement, design, environmental and engineering services to prepare the Design Approval Document in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) for “The Riverline.” Qualified firms both singly or in teams must have the requisite, demonstrated competence and experience in and a thorough knowledge of the required architectural and engineering services required for the Project. Qualified firms must demonstrate service competency expertise in concept development, planning, project design, and agency coordination. The project work requires social, economic, cultural, and environmental assessments; preliminary design including cost estimates; and community outreach and engagement. The planned project is to prepare a Design Approval Document in accordance with the requirements of the NYSDOT for The Riverline, a multi-use nature trail and greenway being developed on a former elevated rail corridor adjacent to downtown Buffalo and the Buffalo River. The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Document Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.
Proposals will be accepted via online (electronic) submission only.

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for this contract is 17%.
