NYSDOT is inviting manufacturers and suppliers to participate in equipment and product presentations for educational purposes only with the objective being to allow NYSDOT representatives to learn about new and innovative crystalline silica dust suppression/mitigating equipment and products that are currently available for use in bridge and highway maintenance work when water suppression is not an option due to use of moisture intolerant concrete patch materials.

Equipment, equipment attachments, and products that are specifically designed to suppress and mitigate crystalline silica dust exposures to maintenance workers in accordance with OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1926.1153 and 29 CFR 1910.1053 will be allowed to present. No other equipment, equipment attachments, or products are allowed at this time.

The first five (5) responsive manufacturers/suppliers (via email as indicated below) before 3/15/2023 will be given forty-five (45) minutes to present/show their products to the NYSDOT Regional Bridge Maintenance Engineers at their annual meeting Thursday April 11 ^th , 2024 from 1:00-5:00PM in North Syracuse, New York. Preference of time slot given on first responsive basis only. The approximate audience size is 30 engineers.

Presentations will be in person in a conference room setting. Handouts are encouraged. Physical demos are allowed. No video conferencing or webinars are allowed. No displays, booths, or table set-ups are allowed. Only one equipment/product manufacturer/supplier will be allowed to present at a time. Only one equipment/product manufacturer/supplier will be allowed to be in the conference room at a time.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: Any manufacturer/supplier who supplies crystalline silica dust suppression/mitigating equipment/equipment attachments/products that meet OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1926.1153 and 29 CFR 1910.1053 are eligible to respond.

ELIGIBLE PRODUCT TYPES: Any equipment/equipment attachments/products that are designed to suppress/mitigate crystalline silica dust exposures in accordance with OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1926.1153 and 29 CFR 1910.1053 that can be used in bridge and highway maintenance repair operations are eligible to respond.
