Description:

The successful contractor shall have available self-propelled multi-use equipment consisting of end-less car with an onboard track-hoe and various work head attachments. Contractor shall provide an operator for such equipment.

Contractor shall provide the services of such equipment on tracks of Metro-North Railroad in New York and Connecticut (if required) as directed by Metro-North’s representative.

Contractor shall furnish all equipment, materials and working attachments necessary to perform such services.

Contractors equipment shall be of such design so as to be able to perform work in electrified territory, both catenary and third rail, without interference with electric operations.

Contractor shall maintain and keep its equipment in good order and repair, and use same as directed by Metro-North’s representative.

Contractor shall see that the unit, when not in operation, will conform to the clearance requirements of Metro-North.
