Description: OPWDD's Contract Management Unit on behalf of Metro DDSOO is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to perform Lawn Care and Maintenance Services at various residential homes located in Bronx and New York Counties. The scope of work includes but is not limited to Spring Cleanup, weeding, mulching, mowing, trimming, chemical application (fertilizer, lime, weed control, grub killer) and Fall Cleanup. All labor, materials {including woodchips/mulch, topsoil, seed, chemicals), and equipment necessary to complete the services are to be supplied by the Contractor. The Contractor shall not assign or sub-contract all or any part of said work without the express written permission of OPWDD's Business Office Administration. References, experience, financial resources, and applicable insurances are required. The bidder or its principals must be able to provide references that verify they have 2 years of relevant experience. Lawn Care and Maintenance services detailed in this Scope of Work will be paid by one seasonal price, spread out over six (6) equal installments. There are 10 sites for bid which will be awarded as a whole. Vendors must bid on all 10 sites to be considered. All 10 sites are to be serviced by the vendor awarded the contract. OPWDD will select the responsible and responsive Bidder that will provide the lowest Total Combined Annual Cost. It is the Bidders obligation to visit any and all sites they wish to bid on. OPWDD will make no allowance or concession to the Bidder for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quality, character, location, or other conditions. It is the responsibility of the bidder to know the site(s) requirements based upon the service being requested. The telephone number for each site has been provided. It is the Bidders responsibility to set up an appointment with each House Leader to determine the specific requirements of all aspects of the sites in relation to the service to be provided.
