Description: The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute (NYSDOH AI), Office of the Medical Director announces the availability of $960,000 annually in New York State (NYS) funds for four (4) years to reduce the incidence of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the Finger Lakes, Long Island (Nassau), Long Island (Suffolk), and Mohawk Valley regions of NYS. Funding will support increased access to sexual health clinical services in these regions. The intent of this RFA is to decrease the incidence of HIV and other STIs by increasing access to sexual health services including STI treatment and HIV, pregnancy, and STI prevention that are provided in a safe, stigma-free environment. A critical component to achieving this goal is identifying social and structural barriers to health care access that are rooted in Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), as well as minimizing bias and discrimination that are often pervasive in healthcare culture. This RFA has been posted on the NYS Grants Gateway website at: https://grantsgateway.ny.gov/IntelliGrants_NYSGG/module/nysgg/goportal.aspx and a link provided on the Department's public website at: https://www.health.ny.gov/funding/ . Grants Gateway #’s: DOH01-SHSAR-2023 In order to apply, eligible applicants must be prequalified in the New York State Grants Gateway, unless exempt, and must submit an application via the New York State Grants Gateway. Applicants may submit one (1) application per region. If more than one (1) application is submitted, the first application submitted for that region will be reviewed and considered for funding. All other applications for that region will be rejected. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications will not be accepted via fax, e-mail, hard copy or hand delivery.
