The State University of New York at Albany will receive sealed bids for project number P-1471 titled DT/UT Academic Buildings Roof Replacement – Phase 1 Husted Hall until 2:30 p.m. local time on April 16, 2024, at University at Albany, Service Building “A”, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12222 Room 103, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: removal and replacement of existing EPDM roof and safety railing system. Removal and replacement of the EPDM includes the partial removal and reinstallation of adjacent metal roofing to assure a weather tight detail is achieved. Roof drains will remain.

All work on this Contract is to be completed within 60 calendar days, starting five (5) calendar days after the contract approval date of New York State Comptroller.

A pre-bid walkthrough to review the scope of work and site conditions will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1pm. Interested parties to meet at Downtown Campus Husted Hall room 110 where the architect will review the project drawings and specifications prior to the site visit at the Husted Hall roof.

All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $300,000 for this project. Please not that this project is exempt from Wicks Law.

The State University of New York at Albany project specific MWBE/SDVOB goals for this project are 20.5% MBE and 9.5% WBE and 6%SDV.

Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
