PURPOSE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to establish a pool of qualified third-party support providers who have NYS certified inspection expertise for commercial and residential buildings. This RFP is a component of County’s ? requirement to provide these services in the Village of Spring Valley, NY (“VOSV”).

County of Rockland Department of Building and Codes (“OBC”) is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (“Uniform Code) and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code (the “Energy” Code) with respect to buildings and structures located in the VOSV. The OBC currently has full-time/part time 3 ^rd party support contractors who perform required fire safety inspections, construction inspections, code enforcement services, and other related functions in the VOSV.
