Inspection & Testing of Switchgear & Ancillary Equipment
Description:

The NYS Office of Mental Health and Hutchings Psychiatric Center are seeking to procure, through an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Contractor to provide Inspection & Testing of Switchgear & Ancillary Equipment at Hutchings Psychiatric Center located at 620 Madison St, Syracuse, NY 13210.

The Program Work Plan with Preventative Maintenance Tasks, Equipment List, Schedule Matrix, etc. is located in Appendix D of the Contract Boilerplate. Interested Vendors should review the Contract Boilerplate and IFB document for further information. Included with these documents is a Bid Quote Sheet in Excel format that should be used to submit your bid.

A Mandatory site visit will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM EST. Interested bidders are to sign in at the main entrance. Site visit registration can be accomplished by completing and sending the Site Visit Registration Form (Attachment B of the IFB) no later than January 24, 2024, at 3:00 PM EST.

CONTRACT NOTES:

  • The Transfer Switches are currently covered under the Generator contract through February 28, 2025. The equipment will begin coverage under the terms of this contract effective Year 1, on March 1, 2025.
  • Building 2 is planned for a major gut rehab renovation project and will not require Testing and Inspection during the Year 1 terms of this Contract. The building equipment, listed in Appendix D – Exhibit B – Equipment List, will be covered under this Contract upon project completion, and OMH acceptance of the equipment, under the Time & Material Repair provisions.

Questions from bidders attending the site visit are to be submitted by Thursday, February 1, by 3:00 PM EST per the instructions in the IFB. Questions and Answers will be sent to all bidders attending the site visit, as well as posted to this ad, on February 8, 2024.

Bids are due no later than 3:00 PM EST on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
