1. Introduction

As New York State’s signature workforce initiative under the Buffalo Billion, Northland Workforce Training Center (NWTC) is an industry-driven, public-private partnership between employers, educational institutions, community and faith-based organizations, and state and local government. NWTC is a training center which offers one-year certificate and two-year associate degree. It aims to close the skills gap of the local labor pool and provide training, co-ops, internship, apprenticeships and permanent employment for Western New Yorkers seeking high-paying, advanced manufacturing and energy careers.

1. Background

Northland Workforce Training Center (NWTC) serves as an extension campus for SUNY Erie College and Alfred State College. The campus consists of classrooms, labs, meeting space and two floors of administrative offices occupying 90,000 square feet on the Northland Beltline Corridor. NWTC houses 300-400 students per semester, 30 direct staff members and 30 indirect staff members. The campus also serves the Western New York Community as a location for various meetings and events.

Northland Workforce Training Center (NWTC) is seeking to identify and select an outside organization to provide comprehensive safety/security services as defined in the RFP for our location at:

The successful firm will be expected to meet all of the requirements addressed in this RFP. Northland Workforce Training Center complies with all required federal regulations on procurement, as well as applicable State procurement law and procedures. NWTC seeks proposals from qualified contractors for safety and security services. The purpose of these specifications is to describe the minimum requirements of NWTC for Safety & Security Services.
