Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: MTA IT requires consulting services on an as-needed basis to support various information technology projects (which will be labeled "Work Assignments"). A Work Assignment may involve: A software development or implementation project, for which the consultant will be responsible for project management and specific deliverables; or providing temporary technical and professional staff with specific IT skills to fill vacancies, when emergencies arise, or to augment project staff, for which the consultant will under the day-to-day supervision of MTA or MTA agency project manager. The intent of this Request for Proposal process is to create several qualified MWBE firms, as well as non-MWBE firms, who will enter into a retainer agreement. with the MTA to establish a pool that will be eligible for consideration for the award of Work Assignments.
