The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation d/b/a Brooklyn Bridge Park (“BBP”) is seeking proposals from highly qualified operators (“Respondent”) who wish to operate and maintain a roller skating concession of premium quality in terms of both experience and offerings at Pier 2 in Brooklyn Bridge Park..

The Pier 2 Roller Skating Rink (the “Premises”) offers a unique opportunity to cater to a wide variety of skaters from its premier location on Pier 2. The premises are located near the Pier 1 entrance to the Park, across from the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge and adjacent to some of Brooklyn’s most charming and desirable neighborhoods: Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and DUMBO. Pier 2 is the Park’s hub for active recreational uses including pickle ball, handball, and basketball. The incredible views of the Lower Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor will attract patrons seeking a distinctive recreational experience.

The Pier 2 Roller Skating Rink concessionaire will be responsible for operating the 180’ x 75’ (13,200 SF) Pier 2 roller skating rink, including scheduling, ticketing/permitting, daily maintenance and renting skating equipment. The concessionaire may also provide limited food and beverage options for Pier 2 customers.

BBP is seeking a concessionaire operator who will operate and maintain the concession at the highest standards, making a significant improvement to the quality and ambience of the Park. The roller skating rink concession will operate pursuant to a license agreement between BBP and the concessionaire. The initial license term will be for 7 years, with three one-year renewal options granted at BBP’s sole discretion.
