The City of Rochester, through its Architectural Services department, is soliciting proposals from firms with team expertise in the specialty of vertical transportation to provide architecture and engineering services for the project. The project will include evaluation of the existing elevators, design and cost estimates for replacement or full modernization options, building system upgrades, final designs and contract documents bidding phase and construction administration services.

• Passenger elevator requirements for ADA compliance.

• New elevator cab finishes and lighting.

• Options for elevator replacement or full modernization.

• Building system upgrades for code compliance including, but not limited to, main line upgrades, fire and smoke alarm integration, emergency power, HVAC, pit ladders, sump pumps, drains, lighting and electrical code upgrades.

• Coordination of design with the Convention Center and Building Services to assure specified products have locally accessible parts.

• Generate final recommendations and “real” cost estimates for City budget planning.

Pre-Proposal Walkthrough

A pre-proposal walkthrough for interested consultants will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 4, 2023 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, grade floor level, 123 E. Main Street, Rochester, NY 14604.
