NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:Â
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Philips Healthcare (a division of Philips North America, LLC.), 22100 Bothell Everett Hwy., Bothell, WA 98021-8431 for maintenance and repairs of Philips PLS Nexcimer Laser System and associated accessories, located at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468-3904, to include four (4) option years.
The Biomedical Engineering department is requesting annual full services to maintain and repair units on the Phillips PLS Nexcimer Laser System, serial number 100118 to manufacturer specification but not limited to;
· Electrical Safety check for leakage.
· Test connections to all parts of system as deemed necessary.
· Test emergency features as deemed necessary.
· Perform diagnostic checks for functionality.
· Provide software and quality check.
· Test external battery function where necessary.
· Inspect power connections of all components as deemed necessary.
· Provide inspection report and maintenance report for work done.

The classification code is J065 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by March 25, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. (EST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to John.Bolt@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.Â
