This pre-solicitation notice is to inform potential offerors that the Buffalo, NY VA Medical Center will be posting a solicitation (36C24222B0082) on or about August 9, 2023 for the demolition and abatement of various rooms in Building 1 of the Buffalo VAMC. All work to be perform at the Buffalo, NY VA Medical Center.
General scope of work includes:
The purpose of this project is to abate and remove the ACM floor tile, mastic, and ceiling tiles. Remove all other flooring and ceiling materials outlined in section 1.4 Scope. All work performed on ACM shall be completed under abatement conditions, and all demolition materials shall be disposed of in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
All demolition and abatement will follow the plans and specifications as prepared by the VA Engineering group. It has been determined that there are enough qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Own Small Business (SDVOSB) firms that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 562910 Remediations Services , with a size standard of $25.0M. Therefore, this procurement is 100% set-aside for a SDVOSB. The magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. It is anticipated this contract will be awarded o/a September 30, 2023.
OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL
Solicitation materials consisting of the information for bid details, specifications, drawings, and contract forms will be available on http://www.beta.sam.gov in electronic format only. These should be available on or about August 10, 2023
SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.beta.sam.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation by the time of bid opening.
Once the solicitation is released, bids will be accepted electronically only, due to ongoing safety concerns regarding the COVID -19 pandemic.
