Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Products and Commercial Services, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.

This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-02 Effective Date 03/16/2023.

This solicitation is set-aside for small business.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339940, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The FSC/PSC is 7520.

The Montrose Campus and Castle Point Campus are seeking to purchase pill bottle shredders.

All interested companies shall provide quotations for the following supplies:

Two (2) pill bottle shredders, (one for the Montrose Campus and the other for the Castle Point Campus), that must have the following properties and functions:

Paper infeed: 10 wide
Bottle chamber: 5 W x 8 L x 3 D
Low noise: less than 65 decibels
Shred size: 1/8 x 1-1/2
Dimensions: 24 W x 51 H x 27.5 D
Cross cut: 1.8 W x 1.5 L
Casters: Included
Disposable collection bag
3/4 HP, 120 VAC, single phase motor
Plugs into a standard 110v outlet
Automatic shut of
Shreds between 3-5 bottles per 10 seconds

The purchase order/contract period of performance is 45 days.

Award will be based upon a comparative evaluation of quotes in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 13. Comparative evaluation is the side by side pairwise comparison of quotes based on factors resulting in a Contracting Officer decision for the quote most favorable to the Government.

The following are the decision factors:

Award shall be made to the quoter, whose quotation, offers the best value to the government, considering technical capability, past performance, and price. The government will evaluate information based on the following evaluation criteria: (1) technical capability factor meeting or exceeding the requirement, (2) past performance, and (3) price.

The award will be made to the response most advantageous to the Government.
Responses should contain your best terms, conditions.

To facilitate the award process, all quotes must include a statement regarding the terms and conditions herein as follows:
"The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document without modification, deletion, or addition."
OR
"The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document with the exception, deletion, or addition of the following:"
Quoters shall list exception(s) and rationale for the exception(s), if any.

Late submissions shall be treated in accordance with the solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-1(f). emailed quotes will be accepted.
