Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Watervliet Arsenal (ACC WVA), on behalf of Army Futures Command DEVCOM Armaments Center, WSEC - Benet Laboratories Directorate, Watervliet Arsenal, New York is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide an all-in-one system digital microscope with an elemental analysis module.





The contractor shall provide an all-in-one digital microscope, elemental analysis, and integrated computer/console.






  • The system should support an integrated laser based elemental analysis module that can be operated simultaneously with the digital microscope and camera.






  • The Elemental analysis module must not require sample pre-processing nor require the sample to be in a vacuum to conduct the analysis.






  • Elemental analysis must support detection and analysis for elements H1 (Hydrogen) through U92 (Uranium).






  • The system must be able to conduct material grain size measurements and analysis.






  • The system must incorporate a computer console with all supporting software and modules installed.






  • The digital microscope must be capable of variable zoom from 20X-2000X magnification integrated with a digital camera.






  • The all-in-one system must be capable of Real Time 3D Depth composition, profile and dimensional measurement (distance, angle, radius, and area), automatic edge detection, video and image capture and playback with fully automated image stitching, one-click measurement, teaching mode for automated measurements, and automatic calibration functions.






  • The digital microscope shall have contamination analysis capability that is ISO 16232 and VDA 19 compliant.






  • All-in-one system shall have integrated handheld controller for motorized stage control, focus and magnification adjustment, image capture, and 3D composition capture.

This is a market survey for information only and shall not be construed as a request for a proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
