The purpose of this RFA is to encourage the development and implementation of innovative pilot projects in breast cancer risk reduction education with rigorous evaluation and revision. Successful applications will propose the design of new educational strategies to elicit behavior changes intended to reduce specific risk factors associated with developing breast cancer.
Projects will be supported by the state's Breast Cancer Research and Education Fund. Approximately $270,000 is available to support approximately one (1) award from this RFA. The annual direct costs are capped at $75,000 per year. The funding is available for a period of up to three years. Additionally, funds will be available to support Facilities and Administrative (F&A) costs up to 20 percent of modified total direct costs.
