The University at Buffalo is for the procurement/installation of granite benches at Governors Hall, University at Buffalo. See IFB documents attached to this ad. Approximate proposal due date is November 2nd, 2022.

1. Scope

Basis of Design: Install Granite Benches (all measurements must be verified in the field prior to fabrication)

• (2) New Slab Bench- Small: Size 1’-4” D x 4’-0” (ARC) x 18” H, outer radius 14’-7”, Granite Caledonia, Vertical- Rough Cut, Horizontal- Smooth Flat (unpolished)
• (4) New Slab Bench- Medium: Size 1’-4” D x 8’-0” (ARC) x 18” H, outer radius 10’-7”. Granite Caledonia, Vertical- Rough Cut, Horizontal- Smooth Flat (unpolished)
• (4) New Slab Bench- Large: Size 1’-4” D x 10’-0” (ARC) x 18” H, Outer Radius 25-’9”

2. Installation

Bidder/Contractor may begin installation at any time but must be completed no later than 8/11/2023 unless unforeseen circumstances on the part of the University cause delay. Bidder/Contractor must indicate at the time of bidding if they are unable to comply with these dates. Bidder/Contractor is to be aware of ground conditions before installation and coordinate with Project Manager / Contract designee before installation starts.

3. Location

Two of the benches will be placed on the east side of the Governor’s Hall Complex. Access to the east side can be done via a 10’ sidewalk from Hadley Road (Red Line).

The west side is where the remaining eight benches are to be located. While a standard pickup can pass under the building, a tractor trailer will not fit. There are also occupied spaces under the sidewalk when traveling from the west, so it would be best to keep the weight down to a single bench or two at a time. The height clearance under the complex is no more than 94”-96” depending on the spot.
