The BPS is seeking proposals for the delivery of a comprehensive school nursing program aimed at providing direct school nursing services to students during the school day. Additionally, the BPS is seeking proposals that outline a comprehensive prevention and intervention approach (strategy) that ultimately:

• Improves student health and wellness
• Promotes health and wellness among students, staff, and parents
• Educates students, parents, and staff on health and wellness living and strategies for health and wellness success
• Assesses and plans for the management for chronic health conditions

The 2022-2023 school nursing program currently provides service to 64 Buffalo Public School Sites and 24 non-public/charter school sites. The program services 31,000 students in Buffalo Public Schools and an additional 6,400 students in non-public/charter schools. The overall school nursing plan will service 88 sites with 37,400 students. This may change over the course of the contract.
