Description: The University at Buffalo intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law §355 (5) (a), which is up to $125,000, for the above noted commodity/product or service. A sealed bid will not be held. The University at Buffalo is seeking a procurement from Universal Shielding for RF Shielding fabrication and installation related to the new Phillips MRI at UB’s CTRC building. The work would need to include RF shielding flooring modification to accommodate the new isocenter and foot pad, including magnet foot pads and feet with installation and anchorage into existing concrete. The work would also need to include fabrication and installation for the copper floor tray with brass cover between magnet gantry and table. The contractor should provide the system filter box, and RF cryogen exhaust, quench vent high hat and install equipment and all accessories. Dismantling existing and providing new silicone shielding and RF shielding on ceiling and 3 of the 4 walls is needed as well. Maintenance and lubrication of existing RF shielded door is also required. Contractor will need to complete all final attenuation tests, provide drawings prior to work for review and accepts liability with all existing and new shielding.
