ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO WATER STORAGE TANK / WAWARSING WATER DISTRICT

CONTRACT 1 – ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION

will be received by the Town Clerk at the following address:

Until 11:00 am local time on Friday, March 3 ^rd , 2023 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The Project generally consists of the following work:

Provide electrical service to newly constructed water storage tank located behind the Town of Wawarsing Highway Garage at 7286 Route 209 on the western end of the property. Work consists in the installation of approximately 1,350 linear feet of electrical conduits from the Highway Garage building to the tank site along existing gravel access road. Work includes, but is not limited to, trenching, backfilling, conduits, wiring, electrical backboard, electrical panels, installation of owner provided equipment, electrical connections, control wiring, appurtenances and site restoration.

This work will be awarded as one (1) single prime contract.

The Bid will be received on a lump sum basis with unit prices and alternates, if included on the Bid Form.

The work shall be substantially completed within three (3) months of the Notice to Proceed.

The Bid should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work.

If the Bid is actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified it shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bidders will also be required to furnish a Non-Collusive Affidavit.

Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the issuing office Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the issuing office as described below. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the Town Clerk office located at 108 Canal Street, Ellenville, NY 12428, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Bidding Documents for this Project in electronic PDF format may be requested from LaBella Associates at no charge via e-mail to the Issuing Office, Town or project website

Note that only bidders who procure Bidding Documents from and are registered with LaBella Associates will receive notification of Addenda.

The Bidders must comply with New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and conditions of employment.

Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements for ensuring that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

A pre-bid conference for the project will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM local time at the Town of Wawarsing Highway Department located at 7286 US Route 209, Wawarsing, NY 12489. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required to submit a bid.

The Town of Wawarsing as Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received, or to reject any Bid without explanation.
