Regional Travel Demand Model Conflation
Description:

The Syracuse Metropolitan Transportation Council (SMTC), the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization in New York State for Onondaga County and small portions of Oswego and Madison Counties, is seeking proposals for professional Travel Demand Model (TDM) assistance. The scope of this project consists of conflating two divergent models. Approximately 8 years ago, a copy of the SMTC TDM was provided to the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to be used on a specific project. Since that time, the SMTC TDM has been updated several times and in parallel, the NYSDOT TDM was enhanced and modified for a regionally significant transportation project. The SMTC is now looking to conflate the two diverged TDMs. The likely transportation alternative and relevant changes made to NYSDOT’s TDM during their project development process will need to be transferred to the SMTC model.
