. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidental services necessary to perform all Work associated with the Replacement of the Sluice Gate, Stem and Operator. The scope of work shall include but not be limited to the following:

2. Install and maintain soil erosion and sediment control measures as shown on Contract Drawings.
3. Setup Contractor Staging Area and temporary Stockpile Area in accordance with the Contract Drawings or the access agreement.
4. Deploy a barge and a crane for the installation of a cofferdam.
5. Install the cofferdam as shown on the Contract Drawings.
6. Design and install a dewatering system with sufficient capacity to maintain a dry work zone for the replacement work.
7. Remove and dispose of the existing 36-inch by 36-inch sluice gate, stem and operator.
8. Install a new 36-inch by 36-inch cast iron sluice gate, stem, operator and accessories as shown on the Contract Drawings.
9. Install a new trash rack around the new sluice gate as shown on the Contract Drawings.
10. Conduct the Start-up services and field tests for the new sluice gate.
11. Remove and dispose the dewatering system and the temporary cofferdam.
12. Remove the crane and the barge.
13. Site Restoration, seeding and straw

Milestone dates - 2 weeks after Notice to Proceed and award, submit shop drawings for new sluice gate and operator stem.

November 1, 2023 suice gate and operator must be installed and fully functional.

A prebid site visit is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Meeting will be at Lake Welch Beach Main Parking Lot by the Bathhouse. Attendance at this meeting is not required, but is strongly recommended for all bidders. All RFI’s are due by Friday, November 11, 2022. RFI’s received after this date will not be processed. Type of Contract: Lump Sum. Engineer’s Estimate: $484,000.00 - $586,000.00. Bid security of $29,000.00 in the form of certified check, bank check or bid bond required at bid opening.
