Description: SCOPE OF WORK: The work shall consist of hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products throughout a residential development. Read and work from blueprints, sketches and working drawings if available. Properly use various types of welding rods and machines, such as mig, tig, bore welding machines, servo graft burning machines. Fabricate, erect, and repair sheet metal/metal structures such as ducts, metal ceilings, tanks, storm louvres, roofs, metal grates, fencing, metal security gates, doors, framing, and general welding as needed, Lay out, cut, shape, form, rivet, spot weld, solder and sweat: tin, copper, brass and all forms of sheet metal. Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment. Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. These contracts shall be subject to the New York City Housing Authority's Project Labor Agreement and, as part of its bid, the Bidder must submit (1) a Letter of Assent to the Project Labor Agreement signed by the Bidder; and (2) Letters of Assent signed by each of the Bidder's proposed Subcontractors. The Bidder must submit along with its Bid a Letter of Assent signed by the bidder. All vendors are required to participate in NYCHA's MWBE Utilization Plan. Vendors are required to complete and submit at least ONE of the following items by the due date. MWBE Utilization Plan: Due at time of bid submission OR Waiver (or Partial Waiver) of MWBE Utilization Plan: Must be submitted at least Seven (7) days prior to bid due date. (Requests for Partial Waivers MUST also be accompanied by MWBE Utilization Plan). FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN OR WAIVER MAY DEEM YOUR BID NON-RESPONSIVE. A non-mandatory virtual Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM, and will be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams meeting. Although attendance is not mandatory at the Pre-Bid Conference, it is strongly recommended that all interested Bidders attend, and that Bidders thoroughly review bid documents in advance of the meeting.
